Description
A high-resolution numerical investigation using hybrid Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) coupled with the Finite Difference Method (FDM) is presented on the two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) forced convection flow with thermal radiation in a permeable channel with obstacles. The fluid flow within the permeable medium is modeled by the extended Brinkman–Forchheimer equations of motion. The study considers the combined effects of several dimensionless quantities, including the Darcy number, Reynold number, radiation parameter, and Hartmann number. The anticipated flow patterns and average Nusselt number show a significant level of consistency with previous numerical simulations. At higher Reynold number the average Nusselt number around the obstacles increases significantly. Furthermore, an increase in radiation parameter leads to a significant increase in entropy generation, particularly entropy due to thermal transmission. High entropy generation occurs around the obstacles within the channel.
