Description
This study conducts a comprehensive numerical analysis of fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics in a two-dimensional channel featuring various obstacle configurations. The obstacles are intentionally positioned within the channel to assess their influence on fluid dynamics and thermal efficiency. By employing the finite element method, the study solves the Navier-Stokes and energy equations to investigate how different obstacle arrangements affect temperature distribution and streamlines. The findings indicate that the arrangement of obstacles impacts both fluid flow behavior and thermal performance, with certain configurations improving heat transfer, while others result in greater pressure drop and flow separation. The findings offer essential insights into optimizing obstacle configurations to enhance thermal efficiency while reducing negative impacts on fluid flow. This could be beneficial for the design of heat exchangers, cooling systems, and various industrial processes where effective heat dissipation is vital.
